I still have one of the AA cards (the personal Amex). Should I do a 2BM for both the personal Amex and Visa, or will duplicate cards not work with AA?

I too have a citi platinum visa card, and applied for the platinum mc card and gold visa card, was denied both by city, reason being that i could only have one card with aa.

Rather sure one is not required to close previous AA cards before reapplying.

Odd, but Chase occasionally pulls from other bureaus. As always, pulls (and thus 2/3/4BMs) is YMMV.

Not if he's doing a 2/3BM and (only) one of those pulls was on TU...

It may have been his only pull...

Besides, if he has to have two pulls, he's much better off with them being split between EX and TU than 2 EX.

Our working theory here on DDF is that two identical pulls on the same day from the same bureau would get consolidated into one.

Should clarify. I did a 3BM, all 3 declined.  When letters came in, I called re. SP WMC, and had them close the Visa.  The letter that came in the mail informing me of the closure stated that they pulled from TU.

Now does that mean they did another pull, in addition to the one when I applied?

(The recon's told me I have something like 8/9 pulls on my CR :-[)
