I couldn't find a more appropriate thread....
When a bank reports a new account, to they typically report to all 3 or just to the one they pulled from?

All 3, but they may not all appear at the same time and they may have slightly different dates of opening

it does say credit report and credit score. Won't the bank tell me where they pull from if I ask?
When you get declined or approved with less favorable terms (eg of you only get a credit line of 25k instead of 50) based on a credit retort you get a letter detailing who provided the credit report. It's required by the CARD act.

Where does Bank of America pull from, in NY?
In the wiki it says, Bank of America, Experian {by freezing TU}
And than it says BoA, Experian. So?
I try my best :-\

The differences between various states depends on the address that you input in the app? Or does it depend on where you are physically at when you apply?

IME, Experian. The freezing of TU is probably just to ensure you don't get pulled two Bureaus.

Some useful info. A Chase rep told me that they randomly pull from 1 of the 3 bureaus with no bureau getting pulled more than another. Additionally he told me they don't use a FICO score rather they asses you on their own. That's might be why their recon have so much discretion. I happen to live in NJ but if this is true it shouldn't make a diff.

It's true that they assess your credit report on their own but they probably still refer to your credit score.

You thought the credit score was a magical number with all the answers to all the questions?

I thought you might be addressing just that point. (The Tapatalk app sometimes cuts the quote short).

It wasn't really to you, it was more to the person you were responding to.

Just checked my 3 reports on Amex CreditSecure, and my last inquiry is on 5/14/14.

The interesting part is, I applied for the SPG on 6/25/14, but there is no sign whatsoever of an inquiry on that date, checked all 3 credit agencies,

Anybody with insight?

2 pulls
1) Chase UA 55k + $50, BA 50k, Marriott 70k = 175k + $50
2) BoA Alaska Airlines 25k + $100 X3 = 75k + $300
Amex (no pull!) Platinum $400 PGGM (no AF, no points), SPG 25k = 25k + $400

Total = 275k points/miles + $750
Amex doesn't always pull for existing customers.

I also had it in 2012, they denied me,
I called and asked why,
They answered, that it's based in my CR,
I said, I have an excellent credit, I just deleted a negative account
They said, oh! We didn't pull your credit, we just based it on a copy of your CR we had before you applied. Do you want is to pull again?
I said yes, and they approved me.
I try my best :-\

Interesting, but I don't think that's the case in my case,

They rejected my application based on my score at the time which was low due to maxed out cards,

They mentioned my score which was 642, while my score on the Amex application before that one was 700+.

Are they able to see a credit score thru a soft pull?

Sure. Discover and Barclay don't do a hard pull on my CR every month to give me my score.
