I booked Westin Boston waterfront
$362 a night
12,000 points
And nearby the airport looked like a solid value at 3 cents a point

Curious. If two one way flights are allowed, why can't I book a one way, checkin and scan at boarding, then.... just not board. And do the same thing several hours later

they won't let you not board if you scan at boarding

You possibly can, I think. (You'd have to board and then get off, without getting your pass scanned as having deboarded. Definitely not something I'd want to rely on.)  For the same price, why don't you just take the flights? It's the same 3 hours.

You can never scan at checkin and not board

For security reasons


They account for all that scanned must be on board

If someone's missing after that point they will find out

And remove his luggage as well

And Mark him as if he didn't fly

How exactly. If you scan in and then turn around without "alerting" any of the staff, don't see how they would mark as not flown

What short term parking is recommended. My flight is 7/17 6:55 am returning to JFK 10:19 am. Not doing a day trip; I do plenty of those and have been to Boston enough times.
