Are you allowed to play against a team with women on it.
Are you allowed to tag a women out?

On a serious note, the way I understand it, there are 3 issues.

1. Touching a woman out of affection is generally prohibited.

2. Touching a woman not out of affection is discouraged by many ultra Orthodox Rabbis while there are others who allow it.

3. (I'm not sure how to word this one)
Watching a woman do certain revealing moves. The Talmud mentions about a female neighbor coming to your house to make bread and since the man of the house was expected to step out while she needs the dough as her arms (elbows, upper arm) will become revealed, there are certain responsibilities which the neighbor is responsible if something breaks since the man is expected not to be there.

I imagine there are many ultra Orthodox and maybe others as well who would have an issue with men playing sports with women.

if there is a need, most non "ultra orthodox rabbis" will allow non affectionate touching (i.e. shaking hands at the work place)
however, putting yourself in a situation like playing a softball game against women where you may have to touch them, i would imagine respectable rabbanim would frown upon that

interesting that the discussion on this thread was asking about playing softball during the 9 days, and not about tagging out women with a glove, seemingly a far greater issue.
then again, you could get through the game without tagging them, it may just cost you guys some runs :)
