I am guessing it is plastic? I would try any type of super glue.If you need to replace it, check eBay. Crazy how expensive these cheap parts are.
Will try some type of super glue. Any in particular that you recommend that would work in a cold fridge?Ebay doesn't have it for cheaper.
Considering a few options to replace, one of which is this GE for 1600:https://www.pcrichard.com/ge-36-in-27.0-cu-ft-french-door-refrigerator-with-internal-water-dispenser-stainless-steel/GNE27JYMFS.htmlThe question is whether shabbos mode might be a little less harsh on the compressor, versus taping the switches?Any specific feedback from folks regarding reliability of brands (GE, Samsung, LG, Hisense)?

The bigger question is what will work on the plastic.
Need your LG Exalt fixed? Cracked in half? Water damage? Or parts to repair yourself. 347.201.2501
Agree with the suggestions to glue, but to clarify, dont bother trying to glue the plastic bit back into place, glue the whole drawer door to the rest of the drawer!
That's my plan. @myi I ordered this one. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Loctite-Extreme-Glue-No-Drip-Gel-0-7-oz-Tube-2596210/312948853Was surprised that Home Depot ships for free with no minimum.
I nf that this can be helpful for some plastics that super glue may not bond tohttps://www.homedepot.com/p/Loctite-Plastics-Bonding-System-2g-Super-Glue-681925/100371829
Interesting that they use a pair of headphones as the example. Some cheap dollar pair.
I would rather not pay $150+ to replace the whole draw just because a tab snapped off.
Awsome hope it works.
Who is charging that? The manufacturer, or parts sites?I've gotten replacement parts for free (fridge and freezer door handles) from the manufacturer, since they shouldn't have broken
Was not able to get it to work because I couldn't hold the drawer cover on long enough for it to bond (there is constant pressure forcing it away from the drawer, even manually holding it together for a few minutes was not doable
You removed the drawer from the fridge, right? If you tried gluing this inside the fridge it's a lot harder or impossible vs. doing this on a workbench
The way it snaps on makes it very difficult to hold together. There is a constant pressure forcing it away from the drawer.
Can you modify it? I don't understand whats forcing it away from the drawer, but maybe cut something off so that you can get a better bonding surface. At the end of the day a drawer is just an open box
Pics?
