My memoir frost free freezer suddenly stopped running. Any ideas? On Friday the drain was a chunk of ice and that is when we noticed it. We emptied and defrosted over shabbos but no luck.

Is there anyone who makes housecalls in monsey? Need a diagnostic on my portable dryer to get Visa Signature to replace it. Visa will pay for the diagnostic.
If you don't care why would you comment?

Renah appliance repair. (No experience with them, just pulled off the top of my head.)

Make sure the drain isn't clogged.

You know it's not clogged when you can thread something down through it.

Are you sure its getting electricity?
Is it making any noise?
You will prob have to call someone unless you are able to safely deal with electricity.

I'm having issues with my oven and looking for advice.

Food often takes a long time to cook, much longer than it should. For a while, the right side didn't seem to be cooking at all, and only the left side worked, and now the left side doesn't work well either.

I did a few tests with an oven thermometer, and it seems to be at the correct temperature.

Additionally, the stove (when lit) often gives off a very strong gas smell. The smell goes away as soon as I turn the stove off. All pilots are lit and none of the burners are clogged.

Any possible explanations?  TIA
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

What kind of oven do you have?
If there is a gas leak you do NOT want to be using the oven

A frost free fridge collects water and drains it out a hole in the floor of the fridge, usually in the back, into a pan under the fridge.  The water usually evaporates from the pan.
Do you have a puddle on the floor inside the fridge?
Look for the drain hole inside the fridge.  It may be hiding under a plastic cover that you need to unscrew.
It may be blocked with dirt. Thread a pipe cleaner into the hole.  The tube leading from the drain is plastic, so don't make a hole in it with something sharp.

Edit:  I just see that upthread, on this very page, someone had a similar problem with a freezer.

Found it and cleaned it out. I wouldn't say there was a TON of dirt, but definitely a significant amount. Let's see how the next day or two go. Thanks again.
