Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Check specs online. What model fridge?

Not about specs, technically they are all 32.62"  so it fits.
Question is about mandatory clearance

Side clearance should not be an issue. You can look at the manual online to make sure.

Seems like something got stuck in the motor of my dishwasher. When we try turning it on it makes a grinding noise for a few seconds and then shuts. How can I figure out how to get it out?

Most likely you will need to take it apart. Model?

Did you empty the basket or the filter and clear it from any dirt?

Assuming when the water starts to drain you hear a grinding noise and it turns off?

If it's the same model as mine I can walk you through, had the same issue with mine.
I would put the neironim glass candle holders in the dishwasher to clean them from the wax and the dirt.
(I don't recommend anyone doing that, as your putting wax in your sewer system and the pipes, but that's a different story.)

Anyways the little metal pieces weren't removed that week from the glass cups and instead went into the motor, only figured that out when I removed the dishwasher from the wall and cleaned it out by removing the drain pump motor.
I thought the motor was dead, so bought myself a new one from ebay, but in the end it was just a bunch of metal pieces all over the motor.

Yes. Exactly this.

Thanks. In the end my wife called someone down, we cleared out the kitchen for just him and he got it done.

Was it the drain pump motor?
Assuming you still have a warranty on the appliance? Or you called a tech?

Put a new part or cleaned it from what ever was stuck inside? Good to hear he got it to work!
Now that I know you have a kitchenAid dishwasher, does your machine take 5 hours to clean as well?
Don't think I'll be buying a KA dishwasher the next time around. Unless they make some models that don't take hours to clean.

Pulled it out. It was a piece from the top rack which fell off and got stuck ::)

It does take 5 hours but i don't think others are better.

I've seen a Miele Dishwasher in action, took a quarter of the time and cleaned the dishes.
But for now I'm not buying anything, will use what I have till it goes.

How old was it? As the water conservation laws got stricter they take longer.

Yeh, quite an older piece.
Was put in when the house was built, custom made front for the dishwashers to match the kitchen cabinets. So yes can be 15-25 years old. I guess that explains a lot.
  Good point there.

Ours is a couple years old. About 3 1/2 hours but I can't even hear it when it is on.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Hi I have a Samsung fridge and every couple days we have a leak on the floor coming from the fridge. What can it be and does it require a professional to fix. Tia
