Thanks .

So if i press clock then what should i see to know im in shabbos mode?
To set the GE oven Shabbos mode, you need to press the bake and broil pads at the same time and hold them for three seconds until "SF" appears on display. Then press the set clock pad until "SAb" appears on display. When "SAb" appears, press the start button.

SF means that you entered the mode and now you have to set it.
Not that your in shabbos mode. You need to get SAB for it to be in the right setting.

Previously did you click start when you saw SF or when you had SAB?

It's good to eliminate user error first, but he might be doing everything right and still having an issue. Sabbath mode can be buggy - for example, when my GE oven is in Sab mode the temperature always changes to 175 degrees no matter what it was set at before we turned on Sab. Our food would never get hot, so we tested it during the week and used a meat thermometer. No one has been able to help me with this issue yet.

Does your thermostat work during the week?

No, my question was when did you press start? What was on the screen before you clicked start?

How old is your oven? Did it ever work?

I turn off my oven first.  Then I put it in Shabbos mode.  Then I turn on the oven.  Even though it doesn't respond to each step as I set it, the oven goes on and I get a ] that indicates that.
Try it and see if the temp reaches over 175.

Well that's definitely different from what I do, so I'll try that out and report back. I have always turned on the oven and waited for it to get to temp (300) before activating shab mode.

That's not what the instructions for my GE said. You have to put it in Shabbos mode and then press bake and then +/-, and then start. It goes in 25° increments. Starts at 350°.

Different types of GE ovens. Mine is a monogram with dials instead of buttons. After I put it in shab mode there is no feedback that would show if changing the dials does anything... i thought shab mode might make the controls nonfunctional.

Start where your line comes in. Can you plug your phone in there? Do you have more than one phone?
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

A lot of times the junction box has a phone jack for testing. Try there.
Is this VOIP or through your cable provider?

Old phone lines usually have a junction box outside. Mine is mounted on an outside wall. In that box is a standard phone jack. I can plug my phone directly in there to test to make sure the line coming into the house is good.

There are many things that can cause your issue. You need to start at the source. Another option is find were it comes into the house and connect your phone there.

I have a front loading gas dryer and it is not heating.

I think there are 3 reasons,

1. The gas line is off
2. The coils need to replaced
3. The temp gauge needs to be replaced

The machine has not been in use for a while.
Is there anything else I should do?

If your sure that's the issue then do each one and see if it works.
