Regarding Yoshon in Milts: I'm not suprised that they had it. There are a substantial amount of people who are affiliated with "Brisk" of Chicago (on Devon), the Yeshiva of (Rabbi) Aaron Soloveitchick, and they're Makpid on Yoshon.
I'm just so used to people knowing nothing about it outside of Brooklyn. I remember one time, a number of years back, at that dairy restaurant in the waterways in Aventura, we asked if anything was Yoshon and the guy said ״הכל טרי״
