Because they count Canadian MR vs the value of the Canadian Dollar, and since they are transferring the Canadian MR over to US MR they go by the exchange rate between the two... Make sense?

That's what I thought it was - that's very frustrating with the current exchange.

So can we transfer our US MR to Canadian, at the exchange rate, and then to avios at 1:1?

You just missed the 25% bonus... Also need to have a Canadian Amex for that.

A friend of mine has some MR in Europe. With the exchange rate it's a win situation (especially that the airline transfer ratio there is .75:1). He doesn't have an amex in the US and amex eliminated the option to accumulate MR as an AU. Besides opening a card in the US with their global card transfer option, there's any option to transfer to someone else's account?
