The checks are actually for different accounts, seems like it's more like compensation, so I guess i should wait for another check to arrive.

I also received a $150 check in the mail.
This is instead of 15,000 points which I did not receive.
Besides the obvious lower redemption value, I wonder if this will be taxable.
Anyone think it's worth fighting Amex and insisting I receive points instead of cash?
