Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Thanks.

Recon. approved me after I told them that 7/8 are AU accounts. The rep. required I transfer from existing credit line (after I recommended). What are my chances of applting for another Chase card today (probably Marriot).
I'd apply for a couple more.

Over 5/24 with AU, just disputed with CB. Should wait until falls off report and risk offer expiring or just apply now and try convincing recon?

I'd apply for a couple more.
Any chance it won't require recon? ( I'm a shtikel afraid of them...)
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

You should be deathly afraid of them. I know someone who called the other day and got completely disemboweled. It was a gory scene.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

You should definitely apply for a couple more, it can't hurt. Make sure you apply for cards that are affected by 5/24 though.

Was that true or they didn't check?

I applied for Marriott and got

"We need to review your application a little longer.
We'll let you know our decision in writing as soon as we can. If we approve your application, you'll receive your card in the mail in 7-10 business days. Please don't resubmit your application. Thanks for choosing Marriott Rewards® Premier Credit Card."

Do I loose anything by waiting for official response beforing trying recon.?

If you don't care about the pull then there's nothing to lose in trying.

+1
30 minutes ago I walked into my local branch with one goal: To walk out a cpc.. I'm now -30 minutes later-  walking out, and my goal is 80% reached.. (I'll probably reach 100% as soon as my partner picks up his phone and agrees to transfer our bussiness checking account from Cap1 to Chase...)

If you can convince them that you have the potential to reach $250k and setup a plan with them, you're likely walking away a cpc.
once you get cpc do you stay cpc or do you need to maintain a certain balance?

Not one thing you said makes any sense. 1. Why would you move credit limits before applying. 2. Why would you close your CSP (instead of downgrading) 3. You are eligible for the CSR no matter what other cards you have open, you may not be approved, but you are eligible.
