Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Applied via CPC (without being one) in branch.

How'd you pull that off ?

I am CPC, and way over 5/24.  Wasn't pre approved in branch. Applied online, and initially got declined due to too many account opened within the last 2 years.
Got the app. reconsidered and it's being sent to the higher department for review and verification. Was told it can take up to 30 days to get a response.

Asked the rep. about reallocating credit, and initially he said that I'd be able to do that without having to wait for an approval.
When he tried it, he said that, that also needs to go verification.
Not really sure what it all means, but definitely better then decline.

According to Chase rep I just spoke with:

App Temporarily down online for "maintenance". 100k offer and other benefits will all be the same. 100k offer is not a time sensitive offer (for now), but is standard bonus for this "elite" card.

Application is still live at branch, and is expected to be back online within hours.

Applied via CPC (without being one).

This is very confusing, what does it mean to apply via CPC without being one?

Means that the designated CPC banker processed application.

I was under 5/24 but had to deal with the same thing. My application was pending for over a week then was finally approved yesterday.

Good for you.
Now trying to decide if i should apply for other chase cards.
Not sure if it'll have any affect on the reserve app.

Bizarre.

One can only think that legal got a hold of them and said that's a no-no.

Perhaps it would have a discriminatory impact on the impoverished who may apply for more credit cards?  ???
