Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Why can't people just wait for Dan's link tomorrow?

People are wanting to apply in the hope there will be a window of opportunity where 5/24 doesn't count.  If there is, it won't last long.  I hope Dan can get his link up tomorrow, but I heard Chase has a 36 hour exclusivity clause. (Source: person with affiliate links).  It doesn't mean that someone won't leak a link before then.  For new people without many cards, waiting would probably be the better course of action.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, Dan.  I know it's going live tomorrow. I just didn't know if you had to wait 36 hours to post the affiliate link after it went live.  That's what I was referring to. You and Doc are the most accurate sources of information.

Never heard of 36 hour waits. Doesn't mean it's not true, but not something I've ever encountered.

Back when I had direct links I often had offers before anyone else, including chase.com

Nothing concrete, some rumors on reddit but that's it, we'll have to wait and see

Seems pretty clear that 5/24 is applying. A few denials with no option of reallocating credit due to too many cards in past 2 years.

BH I grabbed a couple last week.

This is, in no doubt, the most anticipated new credit card in a while.

The people most excited by this card are the ones who don't know how to use miles.

Anyone know how soon you can be pre-qualified for a Chase card? There are some DPs on reddit of folks over 5/24 being approved in branch. Perhaps they're pre-qualified. Hoping I / we are as well!
