Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Thanks all.  Don't think I'm 5/24, and have some credit to move around.  Will call today.  With regards to statement close date,  what's the ideal?

You should have the card in a couple of days with a statement date of 12/14 if data points hold true.

It will not hurt to call. It will even speed things up if they need to move credit around to get you approved. Do you have other cards with Chase? Are you under 5/24?
Normally I'd say wait, but being as you want December statement, this may be an exception.

thanks all, called, moved some CL around and was approved. no overnighting option, but said they're being sent out pretty quickly.

Congrats. Should have it in two days with enough time to get the credit.

Closing date is likely in late December, so no huge rush.

Has anybody seen an in-branch pre-approval lately?

Got my CSR approved just now with a CL transfer, closing date is 12/25. Was at 4/24, got an IP approved on Friday apparently (got the email this morning) and just got the CSR approved now with no mention of 5/24.

Two, I wanted some new credit but I had a rep willing to approve me with the transfer so I didn't want to risk losing it. (I was also at 5/24 with the IP I had just gotten them to approve me for on Friday)

Nice. If most of the data points are correct that will put your statement date as 12/18. Either way I am sure you will be doing your credit ASAP.

My app was approved Sunday night, dont know if I'll get it by Wednesday 30th. Need to buy my monthly train ticket. I called right away Monday morning to expedite it. Is there a difference in expedited vs overnight?
