Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

I was just saying not to rely on it without checking. You really want a HT? Then you'll have to leave

If I'm CPC but well over 5/24, am I better off applying in-bank with CPC help, or should I first apply on my own and try recon, and only go to to in-branch CPC if necessary?

i dont know what's better, but i was able to approve 4 different family applications in the last month via phone recon. all were way above 5/24, and all are designated as CPC. only on one of them (yesterday) i was told that the denial reason was too many recent requests for credit, and the process wouldnt allows them to reconsider. i asked to speak to manager and reiterated that it is for a CPC client. eventually the rep relented and reconsidered the app for approval.

hope this helps.

if i am over 5/24 (only 3 personal cards) 7 AU.
and have a combined personal  8.5k CL (4k Wells Fargo 4.5k chase freedom)
75k+ as AU
worth giving it a shot?
definitely going to have to go through recon
but want to make sure i  stand a chance and can triple dip.
TIA

What do you mean when you say only 3 personal cards? Are 2 of them AUs or business cards? If business cards, are they capital one cards?
3 personal and 7 AUs 1AUs on a business card. 11 total

just realized, these dont include AUs, dont really track those, so likely the numbers are higher than quoted above.

Go for it. U may already be too late. U have to have ur first billing cycle in DEC. Not enough time to dispute with CB. If it doesn't work u always have 30 days to recon, which by then u can clean up ur CR. U prob won't be auto approved so call in right away. U need that statement to close
