Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Why make life hard?  Book something refundable and cancel.  Credit stays.

It's been done a million times. Sure it's not the best but I wouldn't expect anyone to worry about being shut-down over it.

Just wondering what the forum thought, applied for CSR, was denied for being 5/24, but one card is coming off May 1. Called recon once and she wouldn't budge. Is there any point in continuing to HUCA with recon, any shot at all that it could be approved? TIA

Any suggestions for using the points for travel if I don't travel much? Can I book tickets for parents? How strict are they about different relatives, and if they don't like is it something they bring up, or just Adverse Action?

You can book for whoever you want.

Probably not until you're under 5/24

What's the in-branch application process? Do they press you on your financials or just take whatever you say?

The banker actually offered that I can use household income like my dad's income for example so don't know others experience but was quite simple for me.

Held off applying for CSR due to pending mortgage which I just closed on yesterday.  Went in-branch and was approved this AM.  The CSR puts me at 5/24 I believe (possibly 6/24).  Given the successful pull today, what other chase card(s) should I consider applying for? 80k ink business preferred? Or stick to personal cards?

If you do not care about pulls (which at this point I assume you do not) then go for Business card. Either way you should try and push through cards that are also subject to 5/24. are you targeted for united 70k? login to united account to check.

Hi all

I signed up for the Chase card with the 100,000 bonus in January and didn't hit the spend limit in time for the award bonus to come in at the beginning of this billing cycle, which was 10 days ago,  eventhough I'm pretty sure there was definitely $4,000 of spend in there then. I was planning a trip to hawaii for pesach with those points!

I called Chase and asked if they could expedite the award delivery and they said absolutely not.
Will it help to change my Bill due date?
Do I have any options that I'm unaware of?

Thanks

How long before the statement closed did you finish the spending? Are you sure it was $4k not including the $450 annual fee?

What's the latest data point on how long it's taking CSR to show the Travel Credit after a qualified purchase?
