Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

You have to call for them to do it manually and make sure you both registered under same address

now live automatically added to my doordash acocunt and can combine 3 months worth before they expire so $15 every 3 months

Quote
As a DashPass subscriber and Chase Sapphire Reserve or Sapphire JPM Reserve cardmember, you’ll receive a $5 monthly credit to use toward your DashPass orders. Your $5 credit has already been deposited and will automatically apply to your next order.
Credits roll over month to month for a maximum of $15. Credit not used by the end of the third full calendar month after issuance will expire.

Meaning, at the end of June there should be $15 credit on my account?

Have the card for 4-years now, and thinking of closing the card since it's not worth the annual fee for me. So, here asking for advice on what to do:

Recently paid AF using points. Still have 32K points left. I know with the travel credit, AF is $250. I dont use door dash, so that benefit is not worth for me to keep the card open. Haven't used this years travel credit yet (just kicked in April), and have no plans to travel anytime soon. Is there any other way that I can use this benefit and then close the card? How will the AF be refunded?

I have one Quest card, and planning to keep it open for now.

Planning to sign for Venture X, as it offers the PP lounge access, AF is $395 and travel credit is $300.

Anything else that I should know to make the best out of this situation.

TIA.

Thanks for the link. Just renewed my GE, so I am set for next 5 years. Other than travel credit, and using PP lounges when I travel, I dont use other benefits, so dont think keeping this card at the current AF is worth for me.

Prepay E-ZPass

I live in northern CA, and only use FasTrak, and that too rarely. Any other way to use the travel benefit and then cancel the card?

Sell the credit to someone on DDF. (ie for %80 of the value - or any amount you want)

Is there any issue to use “pay yourself back” on the annual fee and then call to downgrade?
