Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

You can't avoid the AF. Lol

I thought if you cancel within a month of the AF posting you can get it refunded?

Thanks, but don't have time for that.  Need to book as soon as I can.

I don't understand what you're saying.  I want to book a trip right away with Chase points at 1.5 cents pp.  Is there a way to do that with CSP?

Thanks.  I'm applying for the 1.5 cent value on points.  I'm looking to book airfare and hotel so I think the difference will be more than 40k.  I also want the free breakfast that's included with the Edit with CSR.  Is there a better way to do it with CSP?
Maybe consider opening a preferred and an aeroplan, and transfer points to aerplan miles at 1:1. If you will be transferring a lot you can get up to 25k bonus points.

Then book your travel with the aeroplan card and PYB at 1.25. It”ll probably be a close enough redemption value to CSR, plus you’ll have the benefits of getting the preferred bonus as well as booking directly with the airline.

No. Was saying you can’t even upgrade after spending. You’ll need to wait 12mo. from card opening.

Anyone got this offer?

Sapphire Reserve cardholders can get 2.25 cents per point when booking eligible flights through Chase Travel from 3/31/25 – 6/15/25 for travel completed by 12/31/25. Valid on premium economy, business, and first class flights by United, Delta, and Qatar Airways.
Sapphire Preferred cardholders have the same offer for 1.75 cents per point.

I don't think I got any notice - you have to check in your Chase account on the page of Chase Travel.

No one who has no dp would recommend. And if they did they wouldn’t share because then it would cause adverse actions to the community. So you are on your own, unless you have a really nice friend :)

So it seems that the PP with Cap1 caused others to start changing stuff.

It seems thr CSR is going up another 245$

the rumors about these changes were out there well before Cap1 changed PP access.
