Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

There have been countless Reddit reports of people being approved when over 5/24 including business cards but under 5/24 without.
I wasn't aware of that but officially they do count towards 5/24.

Is it better to lower CL on other chase cards to increase the chance of instant approval or leave it? Way over 5/24

Returns are to

Building 380
340 S Cleveland Ave
Westerville, OH 43081
Please explain

Nothing to explain. I've had plenty of apps with current cardholders that were pending with 7-10 day message for verification.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

OK, so again getting approved for under 5/24. Not hearing about many approvals for over 5/24, even though Dan is saying there are?
I do not have any of the ways around 5/24 and got hard decline, I was told I am at 21/24 :D,  it seems very YMMV

I am around 9/24. Went to to the bank. banker couldn't find pre-approved offer i went ahead and tried my luck. The banker said i got 7 -10 day message.

not sure if i want to apply other cards that are not in 5/24 and risk not getting this approved while i call recon.

Don't have enough time to deal with pre-approved offer or attempting PC, so I applied for me and DW. Both got 7-10 but the emails said 30 days (which leads me further to believe there's no real difference). Called Recon and without even putting me on hold they said too many cards in past 24 months. Nu nu. Picked up Ritz cards for us to salvage the pull.

Does Chase calculate 5/24 to the day or they round off the month?

I was rejected on 8/22 due to 5/24 when I applied in branch. I had no CPC status and no pre-approval. I was told the decision was final. With nothing to lose, I went to another branch and asked to apply for CPC. I didn't meet the $250K requirement, but I was accepted anyway. The banker said CPC members get special treatment when it comes to bypassing 5/24 and today just called Chase for "special reconsideration" (a term he used). However, he just called me back and said that Chase no longer accepts banker calls for special recon, and that I had to call Chase.

When I called, the agent said that a decision of rejection had already been made, so I mentioned that my CPC banker told me that CPC members get special consideration. The agent then asked me some questions regarding income and occupation, put me on hold for about 5-10 minutes, then came back and said that I would get a decision in the mail in 1-2 wks. I again emphasized being CPC, and he said that’s the only reason I’m even getting a second look at this point.

I read one DP of someone else in a very similar situation whose new CPC banker was able to call (post-rejection) and get him approved. I'm wondering if there's something my CPC banker hasn't done.

got denied on recon by the first and his supervisor due to " too many cards" in last 24 months and they said they can do NOTHING!

Well. fine, i have the ritz card that gives me lounge  and primary car rental. MY wife got her Reserve so not a big deal. Can she add me as a joint user so I get same befit as her including primary rental coverage when i rent?

Best of luck with the CSR! Out of curiosity, roughly how much are your total funds with Chase? Over 100k? Annual income? I wanna give CPC a go, but don't have $250k with them.

Total assets about $110-115k. He didn't ask my income but maybe he saw potential in me since I went in scrubs after work and my Ink account says "dr". .
