Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Why would you have more than 4 WF's cards in 24 months? What am I missing?

1) I have am 6/24 in Aug which drops to 4/24 by end of the month. Is 5/24 considered on a month to month basis or from the date the credit is pulled?
2) I have no chase checking but I am pre-approved at the branch and apply through the banker and get denied can I call recon by myself later?
3) If I am not pre-approved at the bank which option is better to get the approval at the bank or online ?

Bump..

I got a Credit sesame alert for a TU inquiry yesterday (my CSR app). When I logged in, I only have 4 new accounts with TU pulls in the past 24 months, but Chase counted 12 new accounts. I do have a bunch of pulls under EXP. If Chase pulled TU, how could they see my other new accounts?

They don't look at pulls, they look at account open date.

Yeah, but my CS only shows 4 "new accounts" under TU in the past 2 years, but many more under EXP. I would've thought Chase would see 4/24. I was under the impression that they can only see how many new accounts were opened from TU pulls.

I have way over 5/24. I got the standard pending 7-10 days, called and was declined. I spoke to recon twice and asked them if I could shift some credit around. I have a great credit score and good history. They said there is nothing they could do. When I spoke to the third recon rep he asked why I am calling for the third time and asking the same questions because there is no way around this. (wonder why I never heard anyone saying the recon reps call them out on how many times they have called).

I asked him if there was a way to upgrade sapphire preferred to reserve. He said no-  that if I wasnt approved in the first place for reserve how can he change things. But then he offered to transfer me to customer service at Preferred, I spoke to their rep and she said no problem. They will prorate my AF that I already paid, and that they can not give me the bonus. There was also no way of somehow getting authorized users transferred and not paying for them.

I figured that there is no way that I am going to qualify for this card for a really long time and that although the bonus points are amazing I still get all of the other perks to offset the fee. I have no chase account so thought going to a bank wouldnt help-and I was not prepared to transfer a huge sum to perhaps get the card
Anyone else do this?
