Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Available credit as backup? Can use from another card.
A backup card to throw in that you're actually interested and isn't subject to 5/24.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Yes!!! I'm at 20-30/24 (not exactly sure but I avg. 3 every 3 months) and by no means do I have $250K for Chase, but I figured I might as well stop in a Manhattan branch and check if I was prequalified. She said I was, I was still skeptical, but lo and behold I got approved on the spot with a $34K Credit Limit. Credit score in the mid-to-upper 700's, this is my 5th card with Chase. Going to go for a 6th today since I already took the credit hit, maybe Hyatt or BA (wanted Ritz if I didn't get this one, but since I got it, too much minimum spend in 3 months since there are other cards i need to get today as well).

Wife was unfortunately not prequalified, but better 1 than none.

Is the $450 refundable if I reach the bonus after three months like it is with the AMEX platinum?

I would only want the card for the 100k UR bonus and would love to recoup some of the annual fee.

Going for 2nd Chase card today for combined pull. If I'm CPC, is it worth it to apply for United card or should I stick with non-5/24 cards?

" Chase cardmembers who currently have or have had a Chase credit card in any Rewards Program associated with this offer, may not be eligible for a second Chase credit card in the same Rewards Program."

sorry if this was posted or discussed before.

just came across the above and was wondering if that means if someone holds any card with the chase UR program-that they wont be eligible for this card?

Per Chase agent, the card will take up to 2 weeks to arrive after being approved and they aren't offering expedited shipping becasue it is new. And the 3 month $4k spend period starts from when you are approved and the account is open so you will really have 3 months minus up to 2 weeks to complete the spend.

Why is pre-approval only working in branch? Do they not have pre-approval online also?

The pre-approval online is different than the one in branch. Even if you don't have any pre-approvals online, you still may have in branch.

No preapproval showing up in branch. Is there anything to do, to make it show up? Reduce my current credit limits?
