Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Doesn't sound like the friendship is needed if you pre-qualify.

Anyone (with CPC) trying to open the identical JP Morgan Reserve instead of the CSR, hoping 5/24 wont apply at all?

https://www.chase.com/card-benefits/jpmreserve/travel

Same 100k bonus as well.

Can someone please ask their CPC banker if you can open both cards?

That's for Private Banking ($10MM++), not for Private Client.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Chase CPC banker said he would need only $2MM to apply for the card.

Applied, got the pending message. Just called offered to shift CL, approved. No CPC. Just counted on Experian have at least 6/24.

I didn't hear of anyone that was approved over 5/24 without being CPC and NOT being pre qualified
I did. Offered to shift CL.

I'm sure this has been answered in the thread ... so apologies up front. I was approved for the CSR this morning but was reading I should do another chase card today. Can someone confirm. I think i am at 3(or 4) / 24.

TIA

My father already received his card!

He applied in branch on Sunday and he didn't even ask to expedite.

No, freeze doesn't prevent soft pulls.

It seems that that Priority Pass will include guesting privileges 'you and your travel companions' (same as the one that comes with the Citi Prestige).

IMO I would try to get INK if you don't yet have one.

Even though it's a 2nd pull, credit pulls barely affect your score, and its better to get the good chase card while you are still able to and take a 2nd hit.

What affects your score every time you open a card is the new account, dropping your AAoA, not the pull.

Cmiiw, but getting a 2nd hard pull without a new account showing on the credit report (as it's a business card) will drop you score less then opening a 2nd "new account" with the same pull.

(My pull when I was declined for a card dropped me only 4 points total.)

Per Lucky
IIRC, Citi PP only includes two guests, or immediate family.
