Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Applied online, got a pending, called in, got transfered 3 times, and got approved! But only 14k line of credit, isn't it very little?

You got the card, congrats. What do you care what CL they gave you?

I have an Ink Plus on one business (and other Chase cards), and just applied for an Ink Plus for a diff. business and was declined due to being way over 5/24. CPC and a friendly banker couldn't get the job done. Not pre-approved for CSR. Any point in applying?

It seems that that Priority Pass will include guesting privileges 'you and your travel companions' (same as the one that comes with the Citi Prestige).
Per Lucky
The Ritz card just swiched to priority pass and it includes guests so it makes sense this will also

There have been several DDMS and DDF posters.
I am over 5/24, no CPC, and no pre approval in branch, I will double check a different branch again tomorrow and then apply online, I just removed $15,000 of credit with the hope of getting auto approval. I will report back

That probably wasn't the smartest thing to do.

I have enough to reallocate to get to 10k, could be, could not be, I have had mixed results in the past, IIRC- this was always a machlokes, I guess we will find out, whats the worst that happens I cant get sapphire reserve and apply for a hyatt or ritz and I shouldn't have a problem with that, its been a few months since my last chase app

+1
I happen to think you did the right thing.
I keep my Chase lines low and even put a restriction on them raising them.
If I need high CLs for my utilization ratio on my credit score, I can always get another 15k from citi or BoA.
Keep the Chase lines low and increase your odds of an instant approval. As long as you have enough "padding" to shift lines in recon, or one card you're ready to close as "leverage," that's all you need.

Good news, looks like Chase should be added to Android Pay on Sept 7. This will allow you to make rent payments through radpad with the Reserve to meet min spend req.

Anyone get a change of terms in the mail on Chase cards. Not sure if this is new, but they spell out that using a third party service to make a payment counts as a cash advance.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

You'll have to unfreeze it. Very hard to get them to pull a diff. one.

As have many over 5/24ers online.
I wonder how they determine who to allow past it though?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Does it depend what state you're in?
