Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Late to the party and wiki is contradictory. 5/24 is YMMV? Are all the shticks people doing in advance actually helpful? (Pre-approved, Private Client, closing accounts, etc.)
Private Client or Pre approved in branch have very good success rates.

Thanks guys. Pre-approved just means sitting with any banker and asking them to check?
What's the lowest $ amount people have reported getting PC with?

Yes but you want to make sure you are really pre-approved and that they didn't just find an online offer. Some people just ask if they are pre-approved for any Chase cards and see if Banker says SR.

If you figure this out let me know. Or you can get CPC and then meet me at the local Chase to open a free safe deposit box :)

Applied Online this morning, received a pending message that I will hear back in 30 days.
I immediately called Chase Recon and after 22 minutes, two different departments, and general application verification I am approved. It was very easy and I didn't have to transfer any CL's from other cards.

If I only applied for that card; can I now apply for the Ritz card or another chase card and only have it as 1 pull or did I miss the window?
I am not 100% sure about this. But I am going to click it anyway.

-1. Plenty of 5/24 successes online. It's YMMV.

So to be clear, I don't have to actually remove myself as AU? Just call CB and remove from report?
Just hung up with annoying Equifax rep, she said she cannot remove AU from her end, have to contact bank first  (and chewed off my ear afterward trying to sell me a subscription, btw they can see from their end that I am using credit karma). Should I HUCA?

I got this message
"Thanks for applying.
We need to review your application a little longer.

We'll let you know our decision in writing as soon as we can. If we approve your application, you'll receive your card in the mail in 7-10 business days. Please don't resubmit your application.

Thanks for choosing Chase Sapphire ReserveSM."
When do you get a # so that you can call recon

...so with 3 cards in last few weeks, safe to say you are way over 5/24? Who did you speak to, regular recon?
