Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

...so with 3 cards in last few weeks, safe to say you are way over 5/24? Who did you speak to, regular recon?

i applied for 3 2 weeks ago (only got approved for 2 of them)
they were all chase business cards. if you count business cards i am way over 5/24
luckily they dont :)
thats why i opened up a few chase business cards before my last regular chase card for the next 2 years

OK, so again getting approved for under 5/24. Not hearing about many approvals for over 5/24, even though Dan is saying there are?

Applied Online this morning, received a pending message that I will hear back in 30 days.
I immediately called Chase Recon and after 22 minutes, two different departments, and general application verification I am approved. It was very easy and I didn't have to transfer any CL's from other cards.

If I only applied for that card; can I now apply for the Ritz card or another chase card and only have it as 1 pull or did I miss the window?
Originally being flagged for verification is a good thing. If the system verifies you, processes your application, and then declines you for 5/24, you're in trouble. Much better to do verification and processing on phone with rep.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

I just got declined for that reason. Dan has mentioned that other were successful.

Wrong, chase counts their own business cards toward 5/24.

For existing Chase cardholders, unlikely to be flagged for verification.

There have been countless Reddit reports of people being approved when over 5/24 including business cards but under 5/24 without.
