Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Total assets about $110-115k. He didn't ask my income but maybe he saw potential in me since I went in scrubs after work and my Ink account says "dr". .

Nice! So, $110-$115 total assets with Chase or total assets overall?

I have more with other banks/brokerages, but he didn't know that when he agreed to sign me up.

SO applied online got app pending. Immediately recon'd and got instant rejection for 5/24. HUCA'd , spoke to a nice rep, mentioned AU's , but rep said still over 5/24. We live in Israel and don't have CPC, both excellent credit.

- has anyone had success being over 5/24 with phone recon - no branch recon?

- I am also way over 5/24.... any point of applying or will I just automatically be rejected as well? Should I try to recon immediately if I get pending? I read on some blogs to wait it out to see if app could be auto-approved after pending review message..

You can get two 300 credits in the first year.
Great, now what?
I dont mean to sound negative but you are still paying $450 for first year and then $450 for the second year. So its not like your making any money in the long run because now it seems like your getting a great deal, but your still end of up paying $300 for two years ( $150 + 150)

$55 more than a Sapphire Preferred gets you lounge access, 1.5 cpm, and 3x. No brainer for that.

Thanks for explaining, you have point there! Also doesn't the lounge access include anyone traveling with you as well?

To explain the math , it's pretty simple.
$450 AF - $600 in travel credits for '16 & '17 = -$150 .
On top of that 3x on travel.
Lol. Who pays for a second year AF anyways ?

Who pays a first?

Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Nu nu. Picked up Ritz cards for us to salvage the pull.
Did you get auto approved for that or reconed or assuming you will get it?

No i wont. Only Amex recognises like that because of how it codes.

ok, I will have to do that, I don't like calling recon with multiple apps outstanding, I have found it makes it so much harder, I actually did hyatt, I think we should start a non cpc and cant get sapphire reserve club, it seems like most people here are getting it!

got denied on recon by the first and his supervisor due to " too many cards" in last 24 months and they said they can do NOTHING!

Well. fine, i have the ritz card that gives me lounge  and primary car rental. MY wife got her Reserve so not a big deal. Can she add me as a joint user so I get same befit as her including primary rental coverage when i rent?

chase doesn't do joint accounts on credit cards i believe
