Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

If i was added as an AU account and the primary holder did have it removed from reporting to the Bureau so the credit report for that card stopped updating few months back.

Will that count in 5/24?

With so many people getting CPC with little money in the account it's a matter of time until the whole "special treatment"  for CPC is gone..

Of course. Bloggers not shutting up and forums endlessly posting "data points" and endless discussion kills everything. I agree with you 100%.

I don't wanna hear any talk about CPC.

Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

I applied online for a priority pass, it's just a click, am I supposed to get a confirmation or an email that the pass will be mailed out or It will come without a confirmation? And How long does it usually take to get the pass?

Walked into branch today for the heck of it. I am way way over 5/24.

Was told I am pre-approved. Applied instantly approved with 35K CL. Was totally shocked! I am a happy camper.

I basically had the same experience today.
Are you cpc?
No I'm not.
I sh oozed with the bank manager about getting cpc and he explained to me that I don't have enough money there hence its not for me.
Then I asked him about applying.  He said to me you're welcome to apply for anything you want.
I said oh can you check if I'm preaaproved? He said sure and said I was.  It seemed like he did not have to do anything special to push it through and it just happened on its own.
Yes it made my day too!

a friend applied for reserve and got approved.. then applied on same day for CSP and it says wait 7-10 days.. is it a better to let them decide on their own and wait the 7-10 days or call recon and get it approved ?

7-10 days usually means it will be declined.  I would call.

2 SM reps confirmed it for me:

And further clarified here:

And a phone rep confirmed it as well to me.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks.

I just noticed a comment where you mentioned that any banker can give you CPC status.
What would you (or anyone here) advise for someone who isn't close to $250k with chase, should I speak to a regular banker or a CPC banker?

I am a CPC and trying to figure out a way to get my bro that lives in isreal the status as well. I tried online to set up joint account and it says that only individual accounts can be opened online and not joint. Any other ideas??

If you have your ez-pass set to auto replenish then make sure to switch it to your new card as it is considered to be in the travel category.
