Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

I didnt think they would post the membership fee already, thought I had a year to pay it. Has anyone delayed the process of paying it untill next year?
Before you sign up for any credit card, the bank is required by law to make you open the pricing agreement. On every card you've opened, you've checked off that you have read and understand the fees associated.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Applied with 3/24 and 3 AU got pending 7 to 10 days in writing reply.
Called Recon the same day and was told it was a hard NO because of 5/25 rep said they have to count my AU as cards I have.

HUCA and got a much nicer rep who was much more flexible and willing to reopen my application, she went through a full financial review, took more then 20min while putting me on hold to check my account etc
I told her in beginning didn't need any additional credit and was willing to swap from my freedom card 20k, she said no problem. Put in my request, said it needs to be approved by a senior lender I think, but she said I should get 2 letters within 2 weeks one with card and one with credit swap info..

I wasnt aware that when they ask you if you have ever used the AU cards you need to say NO! Even if you say yes but aren't responsible for the payment they will still count. But if you say never used them then they can overlook them

Maybe that is obvious to some but I wasn't aware and thought I would share the info for some that didn't know.

What are the chances it gets approved now?

So I had a credit card drop off 5/24 today (it had a 9/1/2014 open date). I'm at exactly 5/24 without AUs but one of those is a Target card. I also have 2 AUs on my report. I'm hoping I can talk my way into approval. With that in mind, do you think it's helpful to apply in a branch? I have a branch on my block at work so it's not a big deal. Just wondering. I've never really done much of anything in a branch despite having Chase as my primary checking/savings account for over 18 years. I assume I go to talk to one of the desk guys.

Should be the same in branch or online, unless you're preaprroved. I'd apply through an affiliate link.

(877) 470-9042. This is the standard number for the verification dept.
Don't think it's the "higher up" dept. that all there apps. are getting sent too.

I have to wait another 2 weeks to become CPC(for whatever reason), should risk the wait or just apply now and hope for the best? (Over 5/24 but only including AU)

why affiliate link?

do you think there is anyway applying through an online affiliate links hurts your chances of getting approved because they see it as  more likely coming from "churners"?
