Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Just got the plastic card.
If only they knew, I don't need their big clunky sheet of metal in my wallet. I'm actually happy about this.

After SO and I both recon'd for CSR both being well over 5/24 decided to go for it for my brother (he is 3/24). Applied, got pending message,  called in, and they said we need to go through verification (but the verification Dept not in into after labor day...). I realize this isn't an accept yet, but is there any reason they would put a customer through security verification, Just to reject the app? Hoping some classic recon skills will get him approved, he does not have too much credit history yet, but I did open him a slate a while back (maybe about a yr ago) and opened the 55k united card in June...

I got approved an Monday and received a temporary plastic card with UPS on Friday.

How do I register with Priority Pass? I can't seem to find any information in my welcome kit.

chase.com/reserve

Thanks.

Do you know if you have to show the PP card or is good enough to show the Sapphire Reserve CC?

Also, are free guests allowed at all lounges or just at TLV?

I could see that thread possibly being merged with this one eventually.

You have to show PP card.

Not sure why you think TLV lounge is special to chase or PP, free guests at all PP lounges.

If you need PP access right away before receiving your card, you can use the PP app on your phone. You'll need your PP account number and a first time access code.

Thanks. I put 68k income... he already has UA with 8k CL when a much lower income was listed. Hoping that shifting CL should be enough to get him 10k.

I'm way over 5/24
Was pre-approved (in branch) applied in branch on 08/30, "you'll have an answer in writing within two weeks".
Called recon - same answer.
Calling every day to hear the same thing on the cc status on the phone.
Today, after 5 days still no approval, does it mean declined?

From the Chase Reconsideration Thread Wiki.
Quote
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing of our decision, in approximately 2 weeks
It's pending.
If you hear:
This application is being reviewed. You will be notified in writing, within 7 to 10 business days, of our decision
It's been declined.

So you are alright for now.

My app went to pending, called and the rep said denied due to " too many card applications" said 6 in 24 months. That was few days ago and even received a denial letter.
Can I get approved in a branch for another hard pull?

Make a joint checking account with them then you will be CPC.
