Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Just got mine too (even though they only approved on Tuesday and said not expediting). Plastic card, no box (and not even a sticker saying it needs to be activated).

Same here

When redeeming points for travel you need to book thru them or you can redeem like the Barclays credit card?

I only called recon for myself and was declined. Didn't even bother for my wife as we have both the same number over 5/24.

My wife got approved today. Does it cost $75 if she puts me as an AU? Also is it easy to fight the fee for the AU? And when would the $75 fee be applied? TIA

We both got the "we are reviewing your application screen" after signing up. I called in for myself and was declined based on 5/24. I didn't bother calling for my wife since I knew her number is the same as mine.
1 week forward, my wife's cards arrived.

I applied for my wife last week and got declined. She's under 5/24. I called recon. and the kind rep. tried getting her approved after offering to transfer some CL from her CSP. But just before confirming, she said she needs to transfer me to verifications dep. to answer some questions. She transferred me, and I answered whatever they asked, and the app went into pending status.
This was already a few days ago. Every time I try calling recon. (lending dept.) they tell me that it's pending approval from the verifications dept. and they transfer me there. But at verifications, they don't give any details other than "you'll receive your answer by mail in 1-2 weeks". Anymore info I try to squeeze out, I just hit a brick wall. There's nobody to negotiate with in that dept. In the meantime, I'm losing my mind from all this uncertainty.
1) Any ideas on when this happens? Could it be due to my male voice, while claiming to be a woman. (my wife is really not familiar in this field, so I'm left to do all the negotiating)
2) Any DP on what to expect in such a situation? IME, the last time I (not DW) had such a situation (with UA explorer) it took nearly 30 days before they declined without explanation, and they refused to recon. "as it's 30 days the app is dead and you can only re-apply".
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Declined. :( (after a week and a half pending)
The crazy thing about the fraud dept. is that if they decline it, there is no more reconsideration. No more HUCA. You must apply again with a new application. Oh, and they give no reasoning whatsoever as to why they decided to turn down the application. 50 min. call just going in circles. ("sorry, but there is nothing we can do for you at this point. You must apply again")
Question now is, if I apply again, is there any hope of it not going through the fraud dept. again?

How many cards opened in 24?

Of the $4k required spend in 3 months to get the bonus, does the $300 that gets credited back count towards the $4k?

I don't recommend you to test them, just complete the spending, it's just $300 dollars

i applied for the CSR card and got approved.

they said no metal cards left but one will be sent once available, no need to call.

they said they are not expediting this card.

Are they nuts with these credit limits? 21 year old gets 33,500.
"LESS IS MORE" It is the cumulative effect that kills deals!!! How many times do I have to say this?  >:(
