Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't have any such dreams, but I do know very young people with access to substantial wealth and some with substantial income.

Are they nuts with these credit limits? 21 year old gets 33,500.
26 year old with almost the exact credit history. Approved for with 12,800 CL, go figure.

Identical income reported and current credit exposure?

Income yes but she had one card with a few k on it (10% exposure). Other than that credit reports almost identical and Discover score within a few points of each other.

data point

I did not bother applying at home since I am way over 5/24, as is my husband. We made friends with a banker, became CPC, applied with him. Reconsideration moved credit lines from other cards per banker's request and were both approved! Daughter pre-approved in branch, even though she was slightly over 5/24 and was instantly approved!

Really? Mine came with three free nights at any starwood hotel and 50,000 amtraak points. I wonder why yours is different.

I'm a little confused with how the reserve is changing UR.

I have the Sapphire Preferred and freedom, and my wife has the freedom and freedom unlimited and now the Sapphire Reserve!

How should I go with UR now? Will the points automatically update since now my wife has the Reserve? Do I combine all of our points into her reserve now?
What's the smartest thing to do?

IS it worth applying for the reserve & a business card at the same time? Will that count as 1 pull or 2 separate ones because of the business card?

Thanks

Yes as pulls are pretty much meaningless.

Applied 2weeks ago and also did a Citi card on same day 2 seconds after CSR app. Citi got approved  via Recon but CSR went to pending and 2 Recon agents denied my app due to 6 apps in 24 months 4 my own and 2 AU. If I call today for RECON again, will they count the Citi App that I did on same day of my CSR app? If that counts it will be 7/24 with 2 being AU.

How do you remove the AUs? The primary card owner should call BOA or whatever the issuer or by me? After calling the issuers to remove me as AU, how long should I wait to recon or resubmit new app for CSR?

Thanks.

Also

Wife got her's approved 2 weeks ago and card came via UPS in an envelope and not any fancy box. Is her card the metal or plastic? It feels like its between metal and plastic and not as heavy as the Ritz card. So is her's plastic or metal?
Thanks
