Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Huh?

Chase doesn't administer these things. They have a third party benefits administrator. no?

I and my wife were both shut down over 2 years ago for having too much credit, we didn't apply again till now. Last week we both applied for the CSR got pending on both, my wife called they said denied because previous problems with the bank she asked to reconsider a few minutes on hold approved no questions asked. My app was pending for over a week now approved did not need to call.

I have no idea, all I know is that I've never had a problem with amex but I've heard that chase is much more annoying to deal with and harder to get an approval on a claim, could be because it's a third party that your dealing.

People have had decent experiences with chase price protection, though citi and discover are supposed to be a bit easier. Chase return protection makes you ship them the item at your expense, which sucks.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

You gotta ship it back at your own expense.

http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/09/13/business/dealbook/credit-card-rewards-chase-sapphire-reserve-annual-fees.html

Lousy reporting. They talk about a $450 annual fee, but fail to mention that it's almost impossible not to get $300 of it back.

Probably when your statement closes and the points from this statement post.

Banker told me used to not be issue to slip ppl through, but since CSR launch they are starting to get flagged for pushing in accounts without the minimum..

Are you CPC?  wow to me that's surprising.   I was going to go in branch today and have a banker and me call together recon.  It now sounds like its better if I just call directly.  I assumed having a banker call with you would  be better as the banker can vouch for you and sell recon on how good of a banking client you are.    Unless recon does not appreciate the bankers trying to push their clients through??  Anybody else with data points?
Yes CPC - applied day 1. Called a few times myself then had banker call. Nothing doing. But kept on HUCA-ing and finally got the sending to the higher ups (pending) Finally I called back about 1 week later to push it through.

Do you have to bank with Chase to qualify for pre-approve in the bank?

AFAIK you need some type of relationship with them to look up a preapproved offer in the branch.
