Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

CSR due date is 1/17..did I make the triple dip?
Closing date should be 12/20 latest.

If my first due date is Jan 24 does that mean i missed the travel credit for 2016?
No. Your closing date is probably late Dec 27.

What does that mean? Don't you have till statement closing to do the charge?

I was recently approved for CPC and would like to take advantage. My choices are Sapphire Reserve (100k), Ink Preferred (80k), and Sapphire Preferred for which they're offering me 70k for CPC if I apply in-branch. I'm way over 5/24, never had the first 2 cards.

Am I correct that the most I can get approved for is 2, even with CPC? If so, normally I would go for Sapphire Reserve and Ink Preferred since they have the largest sign-up bonuses, but maybe I should grab the Sapphire Preferred 70k while I can, and assume Ink Preferred 80k will be around for a while since it's new. Which 2 would you go for, and in what order? And if I'm successful, any reason to try for a 3rd?

Ink is a different pull than the other two cards.

That's a pretty generous offer on the SP. Go for the SR and SP

Thanks for responding. How do I explain why I'm applying for both SR and SP at the same time? I know what's great about SR, but how do I justify also needing an SP? Does it offer anything that SR doesn't?

Make something up. Say you want the reserve card for all travel related spending, but you need to have a separate account for your day to day transactions...use your imagination

Only got 10k CL on the reserve...Would that imply that I'm maxed out?
DP- my subsequent instant approval for Sapphire Preffered was for an 18k CL. Go figure.

I am sure this has been asked, but i am having trouble finding it with the search -

anyone try getting annual fee waived or partially waived with this card? Or not even worth the bother?
