Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

My statement closes dec 16, if i ask them to push it forward, am i taking a chance of it not closing until January ?
Thanks
You can ask them to change it to the 25th.

Ask them to change it to December 25th.
When they change it goes by the closing day not month.  I know in the past when i changed the day it ended up closing the following month.

Just call and ask to push it off for a week, I'm not going to repeat  myself again, if you don't want to do it then don't.

You can take this one to the bank. If you don't try your odds will be ZERO!!!

Odds are high. Applied. Got pending. Called,  approved and changed due date to the 25th of Jan for a statement closing of Dec 28. Thank you!

Approved today after a long 45 min call.... made the closing date for the 24th and overnighted the card all in one call!
After approval with recon I was transferred to member services to change the closing date and to rush ship the card.

How did you pull that off? Mine is still being handled by verification. They also said no expediting it.

You spoke to verification department?
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

Went into branch, banker uploaded my driver license, called them, still pending. "As we told him yesterday, there's nobody who can speed up the process, it's bring reviewed and he'll be notified by mail with our decision".

Should I call again now? A rep yesterday afternoon told me, we see you called a couple of times today, "there's absolutely nothing ANYBODY can do for you, just wait for the mail".

You called 8774709042?

May be better to just let it sit, though. Only problem is travel credit.
