Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

There's a difference between attitude and making a joke.
The difference is, one you say and move on, the other you regret and go back and delete

Are there any special cancellation rules if I book flights with CSP points through Chase? Or would it be just like cancelling a regular cash booking?

It's like a cash booking.

My wife and I both got separate Chase Sapphire Reserve cards and we also bank with Chase.  Does anyone know how to get both cards to be viewed and listed on our Chase online account? Right now my wife's isn't view-able and the Chase representative on the phone wasn't very helpful.

It can be problematic if its registered under the maiden name, but a simple call to CS should connect you to the IT dep. They were very helpful to me

I know they post when the statement closes, but I'm curious when. (On a hourly basis). 12AM EST? I'm trying to book a ticket for next week...

I opened my CSR in the last week of Dec., and it was $495 annual fee, including the first year. Now it's down to $95, and free first year. I don't really travel, so the 2x/ 3x doesn't make a difference to me. Is there a way to get Chase to change the annual fee?

Thanks

I think you are slightly confused, CSR is $450, CSP is $95 with free first year.

Father well over 5/24 with AUs and under without. Applied, had him called and told him exactly what to say. The rep said "sorry due to number of cards open in past 2 yrs we are unable to approve you". So he reads his part of the script, after a bit of stumbling he finally says the line I am him to say: "but I am not finicially responsible for the authorized user accounts". Then the rep goes "OK that's gonna change everything then". Basically, it sounds like all others here where it sounds like it's gonna be approved but needs to go thru an additional phase.

Interesting quote from Jamie Dimon, Chase's CEO re the CSR card - he wished they'd have lost even more money on it!  Article here:

First of the month after card is opened.
