Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Retaining an address means that you get mail there and may return when in the states. Some people have an address where their buisness is located in the US. What do you think about a yeshiva guy (or exchange student) should they forfeit their credit cards because they are living abroad? Re the TC thank you for pointing that out, although as you may know many people do not necessarily comply with them.
It says you must have a valid permanent home address within the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. That's not vague. That's also not a place you get mail. A yeshiva guy or exchange student spending time in a different country still has a permanent home address in the US. This specific person does not. I'm not judging but it's clearly against the rules of the card.

As JTZ said, your choices are to do nothing, lie or have her move in with you. If you want to go with the lying route there are probably a number of options. I'd guess that a credit card bill in the relative's name would work. Being an AU might not, since it's not a bill. You can change the name on your cable/internet bill or utility bill. Just make sure that changing the name on the bill doesn't cause other issues. It might be easier to just add a name to the account.

Curious: what makes someone 'permanent'? What if they travel for 2 or 3 years? Do you feel that anyone moving to Israel should get rid of their American cc?

For some Gov stuff I have had to fill out this is their definition: The address where you live is considered your "permanent address".
"LESS IS MORE" It is the cumulative effect that kills deals!!! How many times do I have to say this?  >:(

Yeah, the same thing happened with my wife, minus the stumbling. Once she said she wasn't responsible for the AU cards she got approved.
Yup, he was approved :)

Priority Pass lounges will be free, and usually allow unlimited free guests with a priority pass membership card obtained for free with this card. Use the LoungeBuddy app, it's usually helpful with these types of questions

I applied for the Ink and Reserve a few weeks ago. I was accepted for Ink but got letter for Reserve to verify information. I sent in a copy of a Chase checking account and passport. They sent me another letter to send in proof of address as what I send in wasn't acceptable. I went in to the branch today and they told me a Chade checking in not acceptable. As a rental I don't have an utility bill?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.
