Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Can't hurt to bring it to their attention. Maybe he's routing the charges through a another business.
most likely they are under catering or a bakery which do not get 3x

Stores in BP could be categorized literally under anything.

Open a McDonald's store card. You'll get 5x on crap.
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

FYI here:

Was just approved for the Reserve in branch for the 100K Bonus. Furthermore, I was approved instantly without calling anyone. I have been denied for this card when I applied online a few months ago for 5/24. I have not had an instant approval from Chase in quite some time, so this was surprising to me.

Figured I'd share my experience for those looking to apply and have been having trouble.

The rep looked and could not find one. She originally said that the 100K had ended, but then found something after clicking around for a few minutes.

Small question.  Maybe there is a different thread for this.
A charge by a restaurant in Boro Park didn't give me 3X. Are some restaurants coded as "dining" while others aren't? How to know? And does it help to bring it to Chase's attention in hopes of getting 3X points? TIA.
Had this experience in Estreai sm'ed chase and they told me its not coded as a restaurant after some back and forth they told me to go jump in a lake

What's currently best item to buy w/CSR for $300 annual that allows high % resale?
I assume it's Gift Card.  2016 I did SWA but that was hard to sell....what's working?
Thanks!

I opened 3 accounts with Chase March 2014. They were only reported to my credit report as of April 2014.
Would 5/24 start from March aka date card opening or April date reported to experian?

Most likely the latter but you may be able to argue with recon since they should be able to see when it was opened. The cards don't say "Opened March__" on the credit report? Usually it has the actual date opened even if it wasn't reported until a month later.

Why make life hard?  Book something refundable and cancel.  Credit stays.
