Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Does anyone have a positive experience with transferring credit from CSR to open a new card?

If maximum credit line is what's holding back the approval, they'll usually offer it, or you can ask for it.

Shouldn't be different than any other card.

I flew airberlin on SR points back in March. When my flight was delayed and I called for rescheduling and baggage insurance they were helpful. Ultimately I did not file a claim, but was given instructions on how to so I assume there is coverage.

Trying to make reservations with UR points and no flights are showing...I tried different departure and destination cities but just get message:

Unfortunately, we could not find results to match this search. We recommend modifying your search parameters and searching again.
Select a different origin or destination
Choose alternate travel dates
Change the number of travelers

Anyone else having this issue?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

I have had it in the past. What I did was I found a flight on google flights and then I called up chase’s UR department and asked them to use my points to book the flight I find online and they did it no problem

Yes, I had just received my statement with the annual fee. The Rep nixed the fee when I downgraded.

i made a travel purchase and got 3X points a while ago, i just used all my points today
now i need to cancel the purchase that earned the points.
i know chase will claw them back pts (and i'm not trying to cheat them, but its done already)
what happens to "clawback," will acct go into negative?
i took out all the points in order to close the acct- will they bill me for neg points balance after card is closed?

will this red flag me/ my other accts?  please help... this was done by mistake n i dont want trouble!!
