Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

As was clarified by mmgfarb, my question is about keeping the card, not approval.
Regardless, thank you for your reply!
Unless things changed very recently, you can have much power than 10k CL on the CSR. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that they put a limit on it though.

Do you think it's worth HUCA and asking for a supervisor? Or is that too sticky and they might catch on and Black list me?

Send an SM.  Don't escalate that you are trying to pull one over on them. What are you thinking?

Did anyone have a delay/issue using chasepay offer in shoprite with the CSR and the 9x bonus points posting?

+1 SM that you'd like to lower it. Ask nicely, should work.

+1. I called personally, and explained how I'm starting to use another card a bit more because I want to bla bla bla... They usually just do it to shut me up.

I'm only half joking. I wonder how many old people they talk to, who spend 45 minutes telling them about the pair of socks they were trying to buy when their card got declined. The second you start to babble, they often seem to be in a hurry to get off the line.

SM

Thank you for your replies! It looks like I have to get ahold of a computer in order to SM. Hopefully I will get to one in time. What's the amount that the CL has to drop down to dismiss the AF? I've seen two numbers flying around, $1,000 and 1,500. Also, even if the SM method works, do you think it's too late already to have any effect on the AF?

Should be anywhere under $1800. AF for this year? Will be refunded

What won't work the second year?
