Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

does this work for the 2nd year as well?
Nope
Should be anywhere under $1800. AF for this year? Will be refunded

To make it clear, I'm in the beginning of my 2nd year. This would be AF #2.
Thank you for your replies! It looks like I have to get ahold of a computer in order to SM. Hopefully I will get to one in time. What's the amount that the CL has to drop down to dismiss the AF? I've seen two numbers flying around, $1,000 and 1,500. Also, even if the SM method works, do you think it's too late already to have any effect on the AF?

Assuming it meant that AF for year #1 can't be changed. This method should work forever, no?

Is the "nope" %100 confident. I ask because I'd really rather save myself the bother and not schlep all the way to someone's computer in order to try my luck  with SM and then move CL around only to find out that my AF ain't goin nowhere.

I was approved for CSR in 2016 and was among those who had the opportunity to triple dip etc etc. My January billing cycle just closed, including the lovely AF. Honestly, I've done the math and even with the fee, it still makes sense to keep the CSR using the Trifecta Method. But, I'm just hoping I could somehow still avoid the AF. (The reason why I was late to the whole drop down the CL train was because I didn't have a second chase card at the time.)

There hasn't been a single confirmation that it worked. ( I know many that tried )

You're specifically referring to the second years AF, Right?

There's something I'm missing. I'm on my second year with my card now with no AF so far. When would it post?

I find the iPhone extremely unreliable when trying to get to a desktop site, it usually doesn't work.

That rarely works on an iPhone.
