Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Ordered a AU about 2 months ago, and I still don't see the $75 annual fee posted to the account. When does it normally post?

The same time as the annual fee.

But then it could go on your CR as an AU card and be a PITA towards 5/24.

Nah, if you're under 5/24 with your own cards, a simple call to recon resolves the AU card problem, not painful at all.

My wife was an authorized user on my CSP fo a year and then I cancelled her card to avoid the annual fee. Her card still works. If she rents a car on it, will it cover the insurance?

The same time as the annual fee.
So if my annual fee posts Dec, then theoretically it's free for the first half year? If I close it before then, I don't get charged at all?

The card still works because it has the same number, expiration, and 3-digit security code as primary card. But as far as Chase is concerned, your wife is no longer on the account, so any person-specific ancillary benefits (like priority pass and car rental insurance) would not apply to her.

Trip delay/cancellation should still work because your coverage also covers family, regardless whether or not they are AU.

How do I ask for a replacement card without causing a card number change? Tia.

Ask for a plastiq card with raised numbers.

I told them the numbers were hard to read.

Will they prorate me for annual fee if I downgrade 4 months into the year? My understanding is that they def. won't claw back $300 travel credit, right?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

To my knowledge, they don't prorate the AF.  Once it's passed 60(?) days, it sticks.

Actually, my AF for the first year was refunded and I was not charged at all for second year.
But now I just got billed. I heard this happened to others as well.
Any work-around?
Thanks.

There is nothing after 2 years.
Why would it work for the first 2 years but not the third?
I thought it's based on the CARD act, which shouldn't matter what year.
