Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

When upgrading to SR, is it reflective online instantly? Meaning if I call right now to upgrade, will I be able to book on Chase Rewards page for Sapphire Reserve value today??
IME, right after I hung up.

I currently have the CSP with $9k CL, wanting to upgrade to the CSR which requires a $10k CL.

Question: is upgrading different than opening a knew account? so far I was told twice by reps that you need a min. of $10k CL to upgrade.

What do you guys think? is it a hard rule or HUCA can do the trick?

Date:   10-09-2018 15:17:47
From:   Chase Card Services
Subject:   Re: Fees/Interest Charges
Message:

Hello      ,

I will be glad to assist you with your inquiry about the
annual fee on your account ending in 0570.

, I understand the significance of your inquiry.

Let me share that the annual fee for the Chase Sapphire
Reserve card is $450.00.

Annual fee cannot be more than the 10% of the credit line
on the account.

As your Chase Sapphire Reserve account has a credit line
of $1,570.00. The $450.00 annual fee will be charged to
the account, however the balance amount of the annual fee
will be returned to the account within 2 billing cycles.

We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing
Chase.

Thank you,
Don

Lowered from $10k to $1,900, but they are refusing to refund AF. How do I prove this policy/law to them?

You don't. The guy who's post you quoted, is stupid, and if you do the same, you're no different.

Did you miss all these posts following his?

this is one of the stupidest things I've seen someone do in a while...

They can make a rule like Citi has that you can't lower your credit line under $2k.
The less attention brought to them the better.

Works that way for hotels and activities, I'm assuming car rental is the same, no first hand experience though.

If I downgraded my chase reserve to preferred 4 months ago, is it risky to upgrade it back now?
