Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

When booking a flight with UR(SR for 1.5 CPP) I see the same price flights as all the other sites are selling for, like a flight selling for $250 on Expedia will be selling on priceline for the same but only difference is I can upgrade for $34 which will get me an added cargo bag, while with Expedias booking I would have to pay a lot more for an added bag, anyway to have the price matched or another way to have the search work for another site?
Or what ever I see is what they're is to book, and if not book with cash and or transfer to airline partner to book with airlines miles.

Until when can I downgrade to freedom to get full AF back?
The $300 TC only starts after the first months closing date on the second year. If I wait till after the first closing date, spend the 300, then downgrade, will I get full AF back? Any DPs of it getting clawed back by doing this?

No, this had been downgraded to a Freedom previously. Yes.

No, this had been downgraded to a Freedom previously. Yes.
So you downgraded CSR to freedom, then upgraded back to CSR and then tried to downgrade again?

One of the free inks, or either of the freedoms.

Tell them your mag-strip is damaged and they will mail you another card with the same numbers, which would in essence be a second card but your name on the card if that shouldn't matter to him.
If i'm not mistaken both cards should work but cmiiw.

One of the free inks, or either of the freedoms.
Depends how he spends on his cards, if he goes for the 5x category each month then go for the freedom and if hes spending without thinking go for the Chase Freedom Unlmtd which gets you 1.5cpp and then transfer to CSR to get 1.5 back for booking getting a value of 2 cent per point.

Add her as an AU and be sure to cancel inside of 30 days to avoid AF.  Card will have her name on it and will still work.  Card number will be the same as yours.

Both these methods will work if you just want another physical card, but not a new account. My understanding was that he wanted to open a new account for her.

Do you have to downgrade within 30 days to get full AF back, or within 55 (first month  until due date as long as you didn't pay yet)? I heard both options.

You have to call Chase to order it.
