Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

You have to call Chase to order it.
I believe it can be done online as well.
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

Was 1-2 weeks ago that I got the CSR and requested the PP. Only came around 10 days later.

I had it airshipped to Israel. I had to call every couple hours in order to "intercept" it, between the time that PP got the "order" from chase and they sent it out.
I'm not who you think I am.

Here are the terms for the bonus:
The product is not available to either (i) current cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card, or (ii) previous cardmembers of any Sapphire credit card who received a new cardmember bonus within the last 48 months. If you are an existing Sapphire customer and would like this product, please call the number on the back of your card to see if you are eligible for a product change. You will not receive the new cardmember bonus if you change products.

Based on that, if you haven't gotten a bonus on a Sapphire card in 48 months, but currently have one open, can you just close it and then next day apply for the CSR and get the bonus?

Officially you are supposed a few days so that it gets completely processed.

Thank you! And so, if the only factors are waiting 48 months from bonus and not having one currently open, then upgrading or downgrading from SP to CSR or back shouldn't impact future qualifications for a bonus, right?

Has anyone had success asking for the AU fee of $75 to be waived?  I still want to keep the CSR, but it’s getting difficult to justify the value of AU fee for family.  Thanks.

You can close the AU card and still use it. The AU just won't have the benefits

Interesting!  It will work even with the different name?  Even online, and not just using the card in person?

If I book a flight with this card but then downgrade it to a fee free card prior to taking the flight, will I still get all the protection of the reserve for the flight?

Your looking for problems?
Eat the $150 AF, if your chase relationship isn't worth it close the card.

While chase is highly volatile right now, I don't think AF trick is going to be the cause of an A/A.

My question is if $150 is worth risking a chase relationship?

I was just told that paying taxes on an award ticket does not cover for the benefits of the card. Does that make sense??
