Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

No, from what I remember off hand. Did you HUCA? Or try submitting a claim?

I recently downgraded to the preferred card, is it risky to upgrade back to the reserve 2 months later?

Add her as an AU and be sure to cancel inside of 30 days to avoid AF.  Card will have her name on it and will still work.  Card number will be the same as yours.

Hi!

I did that when I first got the card in Sep of 2016 and it worked! My card is expiring this September and I WILL want a card for my spouse as well, so will that trick work a second time?

Does anyone know?

TIA

that's what I'm wondering - if they'll realize.
Has anyone else tried this?

If you just want another card with the same numbers just ask for a replacement for a damaged card. And both cards will work.

When doing this, is it possible to get the free PP before cancelling, or is that pushing it?

They cancel PP if you cancel the AU. Might not be that second, but it definitely won't last the year.

Why would it be risky to give chase a higher annual fee? They are more than happy to take your money.

How many days do you have to downgrade from the CSR to a no annual fee card like the freedom card-and still get off the full amount of the annual fee?

friend applied for regular- non fee- sapphire late in 2017 and now wants to get the reserve, would he get the sign up bonus for CSR if he applies today or does the new 48 month rule apply here?

I don't think you can apply for the no fee Sapphire. Do you mean he downgraded to it, or maybe the CSP?

even back in 2017?

he says he never had the preferred or the reserve but all ask him again. but assuming he did get the preferred and downgraded is he eligible for the bonus for the reserve if he applies today?

I think 48 starts from when you last received bonus, but I may not be correct.
