Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

It was downgraded
Actually I'm more inclined to say it was a CSP, and not even downgraded and he thinks there is no fee as it was probably waived first year.

That was my point. But if it was downgraded in late 2017and he originally signed up earlier then he could possibly be eligible now. First things first he should ascertain what he signed up for when.

Wouldn't he also need to close/downgrade out of the sapphire family before opening another?
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

It needs to be a manual charge, not auto pay

Anyway I'm pretty sure that with chase, if you are approved you will get the bonus
Is that true for their business cards as well?

A family members United points are expiring soon and they don't have any Chase points to transfer. Can I transfer points from my Reserve card to their United account? Does it make a difference if my United account is or has been linked? Is there any reason to think it will raise flags at Chase potentially trigger a review? Thanks
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

This topic has been covered on the main site.
Better than doing a risky points transfer, "United’s MileagePlus X app allows you to earn miles when buying gift cards and it also a good way to renew miles."

Thanks. I did indeed see that post and would prefer to extend by transferring UR points if that's possible.

What does this mean? Account replenishment doesn’t trigger it?

Account replenishment is fine, having it on auto pay when it hits below a certain threshold is the problem.

I'm a bit confused. What the difference between account replenishment and auto pay?
