Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

Have CSP. Was told by PR that need to wait 30 days from time of downgrade or closing account before can apply for CSR. is this true? Any way around it?
Same question about sapphire vanilla

Not the freshest info, but something. Seems like most suggest waiting until the card shows as the card you PCd to in your online profile, and waiting for statemnt to close.

Thanks. Change in online profile was actually instant. I applied right away and was denied. Hopefully if recon approves it'll be based on today's date.

Hopefully. I'd call in with the sapphire card number and see what card they call it. If they call it a CF or CFU, you should be good. Still just speculation though.

End of quote.

Any thoughts?

Well here is my DP.

Last year applied for the CSP when the bonus was 50k without AF.
Chase increased the SUB to 60k+ AF first year.
Successfully matched to 60k but didn't pay the AF.

Any thoughts?

Just applied with the $450 annual fee,

Got a message that the decision will be sent by mail, is the annual fee based on applying date or approval date?

Its interesting to note Lyft pink is 15% off unlimited and not capped like other promotions up to $6 or $10 per ride. A long distance ride for example Brooklyn to EWR is $15 off. This can be a significant discount + x10 UR.

If I currently have 50% off promo that’s good through the end of the week, should I wait to activate Pink until the promo is finished?

I have a 50% promotion on my account as well. The system recognizes both offers and depending on the trip length it will give you the offer you will save the most.
So for a short trip you will still receive the 50% off up to $6 but on a longer trip it will be the 15% off without a cap.

you need to add the CSR card first to the app for the link to work
