Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

I upgraded from the Preferred in February, and was charged the AF on July 1st. I called several times but they keep on telling me that the $100 credit is only for existing customers.
Anyone familiar with this?

anyone have experience with downgrading card within 30 days of original annual fee?
Just opened it and would love to spend, rinse, and downgrade. Where might I lose out?

Chase might blacklist you or even shut you down

If I already got a one month membership for dash pass on a fee free chase card, and now I want to upgrade my card to a reserve, will I be able to get a membership until 2021 after the upgrade?
I'm not who you think I am.

A friend of mine got his with $550 annual fee. Received the $100 for the reduced renewal.

Downgraded, Received a credit of $550 for downgrading and got to keep the credit of $100.

The $550 AF will probably be billed to him in about 2-3 months.

Just got the AF (450) I want to downgrade to freedom and reapply for the reserve, is there a way to find out from Chase if I will get approved or if I am over 5/24 (with out credit report)?.
Or if I downgrade to freedom and then dont get approved, can I just upgrade back?

(if approved, better off applying for the preferred and then upgrading right after the the reserve?)

The year waiting time for upgrades is only for new accounts. Once your past the first 12 months you can upgrade the next day

Got the AF, can I spend the travel right away and then downgrade prior to 30 days and get the AF returned?

The travel credit is annual, and not based on my AF?
And how long to downgrade to get AF refunded, 30 days?
TY

New Accounts? Does that mean new Chase customer or if I open a new preferred I can upgrade next day to reserve?
