Chase Sapphire Reserve BENEFITS master thread

5/24 applies to this card
Minimum $10K of CL is needed, so if you can't get 10K on an instant, there's another great reason to get declined

DansDeals.com » Blog Archive » Chase Sapphire Reserve Additional User Benefits And Lounge Guesting Policy Are Awesome!

There are multiple instances reported on this very thread of someone who was way over 5/24 and did not have PC and who got approval after recon.

The information below no longer applies for 2016/2017 but should still be useful for 2017/2018

Can you still get a 2016 travel credit if you apply now for a Sapphire Reserve card?

People have been reporting various due dates in January. If you get a due date between the 6th to the 25th then your bill will close between December 9th-28th and you will have time to spend the $300 in 2016 travel credit.

It is definitely still possible to get those due dates, but there’s no guarantee. If you do apply then be sure to call reconsideration to see if you can get approved today.
You may also be able to change your payment due date to generate a December statement if your due date is earlier than January 6 or later than January 25th. Just call to have you due date changed to January 25th to have your statement close on December 28th.

From here. Hopefully this will stop the constant questions.

It was the latter, I HUCA'd and then received the former :(.
If i spend the $300 travel credit and then downgrade right before the 30 days are up will chase claw the credits back?
no. And FWIR it seems to be 45 days or so for full refund

I had a terrible experience with a dispute chase did not notify that they closed the dispute!
on the app the dispute said pending until they totally removed my disputes from the track disputes!
The representative I spoke to was literally the most rude and disrespectful representative I have ever spoken to!
He claims the dispute is closed no way to reopen as the documentation I sent does not show proof that I was over charged!
Can anyone help me out with any ideas.
Is there anything I can do?
Thank you

You fax or mail a written request to reopen the dispute based on the attached documents.

You need to write your argument and include all your documents.

I recently lost a dispute that I started using the online form. But then I won after faxing and reopening the dispute.

What are the circumstances of your dispute? I.E.what were your reasons for opening the case?

I had upgraded a card to CSR to get the 1.5 PYB. The 550 AF just hit. Any issues/risks with using 36,666 to PYB against the AF, and then downgrading/closing to get the AF refunded?

I believe both sapphires are considered one family and having one invalidates both.

Within 48 months
So you'll be ineligible for a sapphire bonus until those 48 months are up, and even then, you will need to downgrade or close the sapphire card you hold, in order to get approved for a new one.

So I upgraded my freedom to CSR in December 2020 to take advantage of “pay yourself back” feature. After having card for 6 months (July 2021), I figured that I didn’t need it anymore so I downgraded back to freedom and got half my annual fee refunded.

It is now 3 months later, can i upgrade back again without it raising any red flags?

Assuming I can, will I get another $300 travel credit immediately or do I have to wait till December 2021 (1 calendar yr from last received a travel credit)?

Doesn't hurt to HUCA but Chase tends to be stingier on their retention bonuses...so it's certainly possible they truly aren't willing to offer you anything
